Los Angeles De Crystal written in the Spanish language translation in the English language Crystals Angels. However, the symbolism goes beyond these words. Los Angeles De Crystal was formed when Monica Becerra, Celena Cruz, Yanina Villagomez, Olaya Espinoza , Omar Espinoza and Jose Del Carmen Espinoza to only mention a few began to see a increase drop out rate of college graduation amongst students. Seeing the need of help that was needed for students to pursue higher education was a huge motive for them. Together with the help of community members, activists, media such as Lourdes Duarte from WGN, Paula Gomez, Vicky Aguilera (AMOR 106.7 FM/ Despierta Chicago), Stacey Baca ( ABC 7 News Chicago), Gerardo Torres (2nd Founding Father of LADC), the late Yolanda Sanchez ( STARS Project Academy Founder). Nikoleta Morales (LA Fitness Trainer/ Independent Journalist) and a few others this group continued to move forward and continues to do so today.

Sadly, it was during this time that one of the members had a loss while in the beginning stages of forming the organization. Monica Becerra one of the Co-Founders and Members of Los Angeles De Crystal suffered one of the greatest losses of her life.
